Benefit's Fine One One

January 15, 2013

When I saw Benefit release this productFine One One, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. It seemed like the perfect blush/highlight/depth product and it looked really easy to use. I've shared my method for contouring here, and while you'll get more "detail" if you contour that way, using Fine One One is a quick, simple, and multi-purpose product that delivers what it promises.

I'm fairly skeptical of cream blushes. I tend to "over-blend", for fear of leaving blush marks, and end up rubbing most of the product off. This was not the case with Fine One One. I like that there is a proper way to apply it, instead of guessing how to rub cream blush on.

The watermelon color in the center is the most pigmented. You get the "pink" from that shade. The coral adds the perfect amount of depth to the bottom, and the pink champagne color is a perfect highlighter.

To use it, you simply swipe following the natural curve of your cheek.

If you are apprehensive about contouring, I'd recommend trying Fine One One. It takes the guess work out. Or, head over to Sephora and test it out before you buy it!

You can also use this product as a lip color, just swipe horizontally across your lips and rub together (I'm not wearing it on my lips). And to brighten up tired eyes at the end of the day, I wouldn't be opposed to dabbing my ring finger on the highlight color and tapping it near the inner corners of my eyes.

The options are endless. Just don't use it as eyeshadow.

Not cute.
